Solwhit suffers fatal injury

Glenvine was yet again very honoured to be asked to take care of the very well known race horse “Solwhit” for private cremation. Anybody that follows racing will know what a successful race horse he was. He was put to sleep after suffering a broken shoulder in a training session. Trained by Charles Byrnes for The top of the hill syndicate, Solwhit landed eight grade 1s in total, 13 wins and eight placings from his 23 starts over hurdles. His finest moment came when capturing the 2013 world hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. Our thoughts are with Charles Byrne and top of the hill syndicate at this sad time. RIP Solwhit
